Real Betis Stadium Tour Overview
Visiting the Benito Villamarín Stadium with the Real Betis Tour is a really fun experience, especially if you’re a football fan or just curious about the club. Walking through the stadium gives you a real sense of what Real Betis means to its fans and the city.
The tour starts in the main hall, where you can see lots of trophies, old shirts, and other special items that tell the story of the club. It’s a nice way to get a feel for the history and see just how much the team has achieved over the years.
One of the best parts is getting to see the players’ areas. You can visit the Real Betis locker room, walk through the tunnel to the pitch, and even sit in the dugout – it really makes you feel like you’re part of the team for a moment.

You also get to see the press room and some other cool spots like the Champions of ’77 gate, which celebrates the club’s Copa del Rey victory in 1977.
The tour is well put together and you can tell the people who run it really care about sharing the Betis story – they are all Betis fans the club has a real family friendly atmosphere.
Standing pitch-side is a real highlight – it’s pretty amazing to be where the players are on match days. There’s also a virtual photo spot where you can snap a fun souvenir to remember the visit.
Overall, it’s a great way to explore the stadium and get a behind-the-scenes look at Real Betis. It’s definitely worth doing if you’re in Seville and a big football fan.
Estadio Benito Villamarín History
The Estadio Benito Villamarín has been the home of Real Betis since it first opened in 1929. It’s one of the most well-known stadiums in Seville and has seen a lot of changes over the years.
The stadium was originally called Estadio de Heliópolis, but later it was renamed to honor Benito Villamarín, a former club president who did a lot to help grow Real Betis in the 1950s and 60s. His work helped the club build a stronger future, and the stadium was named after him as a tribute.
Over the years, the stadium has been expanded and improved several times. The biggest renovation was for the 1982 World Cup, when Spain hosted the tournament. Since then, more upgrades have been made to add more seats and modern facilities.
Today, the stadium can hold over 60,000 people, making it one of the largest in Spain. Even though it’s been modernized, it still keeps that classic, old-school football feel that Betis fans really love.
The Estadio Benito Villamarín is not just where Real Betis play – it’s a big part of the club’s identity and a special place for the city of Seville.

Real Betis Stadium Tour Location
The Estadio Benito Villamarín is located in the south of Seville, in the district of Heliópolis. It’s a bit further from the city centre but still easy to reach and can be combined with other attractions in the area.
You can walk to the stadium from nearby neighborhoods, but most visitors prefer public transport.
The easiest way to get there is by bus. You can take TUSSAM buses like the 1, 2, 3, 6, or 34 and get off at the stops near Avenida de la Palmera – these stops are about 5 minutes from the stadium.
If you’re using the Metro, take Line 1 and get off at Prado de San Sebastián station. From there, you can either walk for about 25 minutes or catch a bus to the stadium.
There’s no tram stop nearby, so buses and the Metro are your best options.
